From having done the original Photoshop tutorial I remember applying a subtle gradient to the right-hand content area. This means that when you then slice this area into top, middle and bottom you end up with a middle slice that&#039;s lighter than the top slice, and darker than the bottom.

Presumably in the final version you remove the gradient effect before slicing?
